What is CAMP?
CAMP is Omaha’s first dedicated coworking space, founded in June 2010. We wanted to create a collaborative, open place to work surrounded by inspirational people. You can bring your laptop for the day and work at a desk or relax in our lounge area with a drink, or you can work full-time with your dual-monitor setup and have a place to meet clients and even house an employee or two. Coworking offers the flexibility to work your way, and CAMP is the best place to do it.
We tend to work harder when we are surrounded by people who are also focused and motivated to reach their goals. At CAMP there are fewer distractions than at home or in an office full of people vying for your attention, and we feel motivated by the productive atmosphere. But unlike working at home or in a coffee shop, the downtime is also more productive—side conversations become collaborations, distractions become fun new inside jokes, and getting up to stretch becomes riding a razor scooter down the hallway. A recent Gallup study showed that the happiest people get eight hours of social interaction every day. We have trouble finding time to be social when we are always working, but why can’t we mix the two? CAMP is located in The Mastercraft in North Downtown, a mixed-use building which houses primarily start-ups and creative companies. CAMP Coworking also offers access to many amenities in the North Downtown district. We are steps from the Metro Area Transit #4 and #14 bus stopsand very cyclist-friendly. We offer free on-site parking for members and guests, and with the building full of other creative professionals, there is always an exciting event going on.
